Glen Austin High School, a newly established private school in Midrand Gauteng, seeks to appoint a well-qualified, experienced , School Administrator . The position is available immediately.

The successful candidate must be willing to be an active participant within a truly transforming education framework where openness, honesty and sharing are core values. Be open to the challenge of making a brand new school work

  1. assisting with recruitment and marketing activities
  2. administering the ‘learner lifecycle’ from registration or admission to matriculating or leaving;
  3. providing administrative support to an academic team of educators
  4. drafting and interpreting regulations and dealing with queries and complaints procedures
  5. using information systems and preparing reports and statistics for internal and external use
  6. participating in the development of future information systems
  7. liaising with other administrative staff, academic colleagues and learners;
  8. liaising with partner institutions, other institutions, external agencies, government departments and prospective learners
  9. organizing and facilitating a variety of educational or social activities
  10. recordkeeping of academic ,disciplinary and all learner related information on the school management system
  11. facilitate meetings for various school committees
  12. assisting management with the weekly newsletter and other communication to parentsnts




  1. Grade 12 with a diploma/certificate/degree in Administration
  2. Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
  3. 5 years or more experience in School Administration / Experience in private school administration would be an added advantage
  4. Knowledge of school management software
  5. The candidate appointed should maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance, conduct and positive relations with learners, parents, staff and visitors.
